dimensions of rest
graphic design & curatorial work
2025
This [hypothetical] exhibition emerges from the urgency to confront the damaging normalizations of productivity and overwork, and to hold space for rest as a profound and political act. It recognizes the body as a site inscribed with histories of capitalist exploitation, shaped by the intersecting violence that systems of class, race, gender, and labor have inflicted. But most importantly, the body becomes a powerful medium of reclamation, resistance, and transformation.
Informed by a thorough critical and theoretical foundation, this project was born as a written proposal for a hypothetical exhibition. It evolved towards a visual and graphic representation of the text, as part of my commitment to merge critical and thought-provoking narratives with visual design explorations .
